Charlie Kirk: South Park Episode Controversy & Reaction

Comedy Central removed a South Park episode featuring Charlie Kirk after a shooting. Kirk's friend says the conservative commentator enjoyed the episode and would want it re-aired. Kirk even expressed pride in being featured.
Kirk’s Initial Reaction to South Park Parody
Kirk himself talked regarding seeing a clip of the episode in a video for Fox News Digital previously this year. “Truthfully, my initial response was that I kinda chuckled,” the controversial number stated, including that he utilized to view South Park in high college and, even without seeing the full episode, he considered it a resource of pride.
Controversy: Episode Pulled After Shooting
Soon after Charlie Kirk was shot during a talk at a Utah university earlier this month, Funny Central decided to remove an episode of South Park featuring the conservative commentator. Now, Andrew Kolvet– among the exec producers for The Charlie Kirk Program and a friend of Kirk– is stating that the late political influencer took pleasure in the episode and would certainly have wanted the network to continue airing it.
On Wednesday, Kolvet uploaded a blog post to X that checked out, “As somebody who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie liked that he was featured in South Park. He informed me sometimes. He would want the episode back up.”
He added, “We as traditionalists require to be able to take a joke. We shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously.
